This project features a single storey rear & side extension to a house in the Bedminster Conservation Area. The proposed works also include a comprehensive refurbishment of the ground floor of the house & the waterproofing of the existing basement. The proposed extension will completely transform the property & provide the otherwise quite compact house with a large kitchen-dining room space that opens out onto the rear garden, an additional bedroom & a workshop/studio space.

The extension will be clad in pale white brickwork. This was chosen to compliment the existing white rendered parts of the house, whilst subtly differentiating the new addition from the original parts of the property. Small areas of charred timber cladding positioned adjacent the black framed windows & doors on the rear wall of the extension will provide an attractive contrast with the pale brickwork.​
